Job summary

SOCOTEC, Inc. is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer to join our Bay Area team in San Jose, CA. You will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, collaborating with clients and internal staff to deliver robust analyses and reports.

The role requires a California PE license, a civil/geotechnical engineering degree, 5+ years of experience, and strong communication skills. Mentorship and growth opportunities are available, with an in-office, full-time arrangement in the Bay

Qualifications

• California PE license required
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years geotechnical engineering experience, consulting preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects
• Interact directly with clients and manage project budgets
• Coordinate field activities: logging borings, pits, trenches, cores
• Perform foundation, slope stability, and settlement analyses
• Prepare proposals and technical reports; mentor staff
