Job summary

Stone Hendricks Group seeks an experienced Project Engineer to join our geotechnical and geological engineering team in California. You will manage a wide range of projects, perform field investigations, engineering analysis, and develop plans and specifications.

You will review designs, prepare proposals, track budgets, and communicate complex engineering concepts to clients and project teams. A Bachelor's in Civil Engineering geotech and CA PE/EIT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with geotechnical focus.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• CA PE or EIT certification.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking with soil/rock mechanics knowledge.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical and geological investigations.
• Perform field inspections and testing for construction projects.
• Analyze data and prepare geotechnical reports on soil conditions and foundation design.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to develop solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on geological/geotechnical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Project management from planning through completion.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate with owners, designers, and project authorities.
