Job summary

NOVA Engineering seeks an experienced Geotechnical Project Engineer based in Panama City Beach or Pensacola, FL. The role leads geotechnical projects, oversees inspections and materials testing, and reviews technical reports to meet client and regulatory requirements.

Mentorship to junior staff and collaboration on scopes, budgets, and schedules are key aspects. Requires ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree, EIT, and 5–10 years of geotechnical experience; PE license preferred or obtainable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, or an equivalent international degree with NCEES credential evaluation.
• EIT is required.
• 5 - 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred or ability to obtain within one year.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
