Job summary

Intertek-PSI in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Construction Materials Lab Technician I to support geotechnical laboratory testing and project observations. The role involves following controlled procedures, documenting results, and assisting project teams in evaluating soil and material performance on-site and in the lab.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Ability to follow procedures and document results.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• No experience required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical laboratory tests under direct supervision and established procedures.
• Accurately document test data, observations, and results.
• Assist project teams with testing activities and observations on site.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to support testing.
• Operate laboratory equipment and maintain testing instruments per procedures.
• Support with overtime, off-shift, or occasional overnight hours as needed.
