Job summary

Terracon seeks a Laboratory/Geotechnical Materials Laboratory Manager to coordinate testing and ensure adherence to Terracon quality protocols in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee staff training, safety, equipment maintenance, and timely project support.

You will also assist with proposals and cost estimates and supervise lab personnel to meet client and project requirements while maintaining safety and compliance with the company QMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience performing laboratory tests on construction and geotechnical materials.
• A valid driver's license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• Certification by qualified national, regional or state authorities (ACI, NICET, DOT) or in-house certification is required in areas such as concrete, aggregates, soil and rock, or road and paving materials.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or manage the activities of a construction or geotechnical materials laboratory to meet project requirements and quality protocols.
• Oversee training and utilization of laboratory staff and ensure safety in the office and lab.
• Supervise calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Assist management with proposals and cost estimates to scope services and price appropriately.
• Ensure lab personnel comply with company administrative policies and quality management system.
