Job summary

Turner Staffing Group seeks an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead a geotechnical and construction materials testing lab in Las Vegas. This role oversees testing activities, compliance with standards, and staff management to support project execution.

The position requires hands-on testing experience and the ability to manage budgets, records, and certifications while coordinating with Project Managers to meet schedules and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in soil, asphalt, and concrete testing.
• 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff, priorities, and deadlines.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all laboratory operations, including testing of soils, asphalt, and concrete.
• Ensure adherence to ASTM, AASHTO, and other standards.
• Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory technicians and staff.
• Maintain complete, accurate laboratory records and test data.
• Oversee certifications, audits, and compliance requirements.
• Manage laboratory equipment, including maintenance, calibration, and procurement.
• Control laboratory budgets, workflow scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers to ensure clear communication on testing scope, schedules, and deliverables.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and well-organized project documentation and reporting.
