Job summary

Essel is seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead a geotechnical and construction materials testing lab in Las Vegas, NV. You will oversee testing across soil, asphalt, and concrete, supervise staff, and ensure proper data, certifications, and documentation.

You will manage equipment, budgets, and workflow while coordinating with the Project Manager on all lab operations. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in testing with strong communication, organization, and a valid driver's license to support site

Qualifications

• Experience with soil, asphalt and concrete testing.
• 5+ years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Current valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee geotechnical and construction materials testing lab operations in Las Vegas.
• Supervise and mentor laboratory staff.
• Maintain accurate and complete laboratory data and certifications.
• Manage equipment maintenance and procurement within budget.
• Communicate project status with the Project Manager and ensure neat documentation.
