Job summary

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. in Manhattan is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to support field and office tasks for geotechnical instrumentation projects. You will install equipment, perform readings, maintain gear, visit sites, and help manage the instrument fleet.

The office role includes inventory management, testing instruments before mobilization, preparing field and monitoring reports, and generating monitoring figures. Occasional travel and night/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with a technical concentration.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in New York City.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to work outdoors during all seasons and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, read, maintain equipment and support site visits on active construction sites.
• Perform inventory management, testing instruments, and prepare field reports.
• Generate monitoring figures and reports; program and organize instrument fleet.
• Work under the supervision of a Project Manager; training provided.
