Job summary

LVI Associates in Raleigh, NC seeks a Geotechnical Group Manager to lead the Geotechnical, Materials Testing and Special Inspections group, building a high-performing team and expanding the practice in Raleigh and Eastern North Carolina.

The role oversees project managers, engineers, technicians and inspectors, drives revenue and profitability, mentors staff, and maintains technical quality, while developing new client relationships and leading business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license required for North Carolina or reciprocity within six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Geotechnical, Materials Testing and Special Inspections group.
• Mentor project managers, engineers, technicians and inspectors.
• Own the department’s P&L and financial performance.
• Develop revenue, profitability and growth objectives.
• Build and maintain client relationships across Raleigh and Eastern NC.
• Drive business development and client engagement across the region.
• Oversee invoicing and revenue recognition for the department.
• Review contracts and support negotiations as needed.
• Ensure high-quality technical deliverables and risk management.
• Train junior staff and collaborate with other service lines.
