Call & Nicholas in Tucson, AZ seeks a field technician to join the vibrating wire piezometer installation team. Travel to mine sites across AZ and the western US, performing field installation of instruments in drill holes and collecting data.

This role requires 50–75% travel, alternating shifts, outdoor work, and DOT medical clearance. Training is available for the right candidate, with emphasis on reliability and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in engineering/technical field; training provided.
• Willing to travel 50–75% to field sites.
• Proficient with hand tools; safety-conscious.
• Excel data analysis and reporting skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Independent, reliable, and able to work in remote locations.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States; DOT medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Travel to mine sites to install geotechnical instruments in drill holes.
• Field work including site characterization, mapping, and logging.
• Data collection, processing, and reduction from downhole equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports of field data.
• Coordinate with clients and drill crews; maintain DOT records.
