Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. seeks a Geotechnical Technical Specialist to support projects across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Virginia with a potential remote arrangement while based in one of these offices.

You will provide geotechnical engineering and field support for energy, transportation and community development projects, with up to 50% travel to field sites. The role includes performing investigations, designing slopes and foundations, monitoring fieldwork, and preparing technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical engineering assignments including investigations for foundations, slopes, landslides, and geotechnical monitoring.
• Prepare designs for rock/soil slope stability, embankments, foundations, and retaining structures.
• Conduct field testing of soils, monitor construction, and interpret specifications/drawings.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, schedules, calculations, specifications, and reports.
