Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is seeking a motivated field assistant to support geotechnical investigations in Wisconsin. You will help with field plans, boring and logging, and coordinating subsurface exploration activities in outdoor sites under supervision.

Candidates should be pursuing a Civil Engineering degree and have at least one internship with ECS or another firm, plus basic field certifications within the required timeframes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• At least one internship with ECS or another firm is required.
• 90 days of related field experience is expected.
• Certifications must be completed within specified introductory and general periods.

Responsibilities

• Performs geotechnical fieldwork and supports subsurface exploration activities.
• Assists with scheduling drilling operations and coordinating field efforts.
• Obtains utility clearances for subsurface investigations.
• Supports field plans and logging of boring and test pits.
• Observes soils, documents field observations, and supports data reporting.
