Job summary

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a Geotechnical Field Engineer to support a range of geotechnical projects from our Kennesaw, GA office. The role involves field investigations, analyses, design and report preparation under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.

Expect about 90% fieldwork and 10% office work with opportunities for professional growth, certification reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required or equivalent.
• 0–3 years applicable experience (entry-level welcome).
• E.I.T. required or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Strong communication skills.
• Position entails ~90% fieldwork and ~10% office work.
• Valid driver's license with ability to pass background check and MVR.

Responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining geotechnical testing equipment.
• Classifying soil, rock, and geological samples from drilling operations.
• Assist in developing scope and budget for routine projects.
• Analyze data, perform engineering calculations and report results to clients under a PE.
• Interact with clients and project team.
• Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
