Job summary

Terracon is seeking Exploration Team Members (ETMs) to perform subsurface exploration using conventional drilling and in-situ testing techniques. Duties include drilling, CPT, installing piezometers, and collecting samples on project sites.

You will operate drill rigs, oversee a 2‑man crew, install monitoring wells, and perform routine maintenance while ensuring safety and quality on every project.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card within first 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate a geotechnical drill rig to advance shallow boreholes in soil.
• Oversee a two‑person drill crew in all tasks.
• Install instrumentation and monitoring wells.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic repairs.
• Conduct site reconnaissance and utility clearance tasks.
• Drive drilling equipment to project locations.
• Inspect and maintain equipment.
• Follow safety rules and report issues to management.
• Maintain quality standards on projects.
