Job summary

Dynamic Engineering Consultants, PC is seeking a Geotechnical Intern to support the geotechnical group across our project regions. You will gain hands-on experience with field testing, soil testing in the lab, and reporting on site observations.

Responsibilities include conducting site testing, sampling, preparing inspection and data reports, and assisting with laboratory testing. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with geotechnical focus and possess a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with relevance to geotechnical engineering.
• 0-2 years’ geotechnical engineering experience or related field.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or EIT-track preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site travel (miles reimbursed).
• Ideal candidate has completed construction materials laboratory coursework.

Responsibilities

• Conduct construction site testing, inspection and sampling.
• Perform concrete placement tests and prepare lab samples.
• Perform soil compaction testing and fill monitoring.
• Witness and document soil borings/test pits as part of geotechnical investigations.
• Prepare inspection reports and laboratory data reports.
