Job summary

Dynamic Engineering is seeking a Geotechnical Intern to support our geotechnical group on diverse project sites. You will assist with field testing, soil sampling, concrete testing, and laboratory analyses, and help prepare inspection and data reports.

You may witness soil borings, document results, and coordinate with technicians. The ideal candidate is pursuing a Civil Engineering degree, has 0–2 years of related geotechnical experience, and an EIT track is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic soil mechanics and introductory geotechnical topics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Independent work ethic and ability to work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field testing, inspection and sampling at construction sites.
• Perform concrete placement tests (slump, air content, temperature) and related sample transport.
• Perform soil compaction testing and fill placement monitoring.
• Conduct laboratory soils testing for permeability and compaction characteristics.
• Witness and document soil borings and test pits; prepare inspection and data reports.
• Deliver samples and testing equipment between sites, office and laboratory.
