Job summary

Dynamic Engineering is seeking a Geotechnical Intern to support our geotechnical group across regions we operate in. The role involves field testing, laboratory soil tests, and preparing inspection and data reports while training for on-site construction phase testing.

You will conduct site testing and sampling, perform concrete and soil testing, witness borings, and assist with report preparation. Ideal candidate is pursuing Civil Engineering with EIT preferred and owns a vehicle for travel to

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field for geotechnical work.
0–2 years in Geotechnical engineering.
EIT or EIT-track preferred.
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle for site travel (miles reimbursed).
Construction materials laboratory coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct construction site testing, inspection and sampling.
Perform concrete placement tests (slump, air, temperature) and document results.
Perform soil compaction testing and fill placement monitoring.
Conduct laboratory soils testing for permeability and density/moisture content.
Witness and document soil borings/test pits as part of site investigations.
Prepare inspection and laboratory data reports and other project correspondence.
Deliver samples and testing equipment between sites, office and laboratory.
