Intertek Group in Orlando, FL seeks a Geotechnical Engineering Department Manager to lead the Geotechnical Department within Professional Service Industries (Intertek-PSI). The role focuses on planning growth, profitability, and client relations while mentoring staff.

Responsibilities include directing field exploration, lab services, analyses, report review, and business development; requires a PE in Florida and 5+ years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from ABET-accredited program (required).
• 5+ years of leadership, management, and/or engineering project management experience (required).
• Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration (required).
• Customer focused and quality driven.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to read and understand work plans.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record.

Responsabilités

• Direct and execute geotechnical project assignments including field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, report preparation and technical review.
• Provide quality control review of proposals and reports; ensure commitments to clients are met.
• Participate in business development and marketing; maintain client relationships on technical aspects of assignments.
• Mentor and train junior staff professionals.
• Engage with professional and technical organizations to build relationships.
