Job summary

Intertek, a leader in quality assurance and testing, seeks a Geotechnical Department Manager in Orlando, FL to lead the Geotechnical Department’s growth, profitability, and quality within Intertek-PSI. The role emphasizes client relations, project leadership, and staff development.

You will direct field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, report preparation and review; mentor junior staff; and actively participate in industry outreach to strengthen project delivery and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from ABET-accredited school.
• 5+ years of leadership, management, or engineering project management experience.
• Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is required.
• Strong customer focus, quality-driven, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand work plans; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute geotechnical projects including field exploration, lab services, analysis, and report review.
• Quality control of proposals and reports to meet client commitments.
• Participate in business development and client relationship building for technical work.
• Mentor and train junior professional staff.
• Engage with professional/technical organizations to support department goals.
