Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides geotechnical engineering expertise, support, and design methodology to department personnel and external consultants.
• Schedules subsurface and special foundation investigations, coordinating department personnel and consultants.
• Oversees geotechnical engineering portions of consultant-designed projects for accuracy and best design practices; reviews on-call contracts and pays consultants.
• Coordinates implementation of design recommendations with department personnel and consultants.
• Directs geotechnical investigations for compressible foundations, slides, and other geotechnical issues, including subsurface exploration, lab testing, analyses, and reports.
