Job summary

Jobot seeks a geotechnical engineer to join an established geotechnical practice handling field investigations, analyses and design. Senior candidates can take greater ownership and interact directly with clients and project teams.

Collaborate with civil, structural, environmental, and other disciplines on diverse projects across commercial, infrastructure, and development sectors. A strong Civil/Geotechnical background and EIT/PE are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
• Professional geotechnical engineering experience.
• Experience with subsurface investigations, soil mechanics, and geotechnical analysis.
• Experience developing geotechnical reports and engineering recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• EIT or PE preferred, with PE particularly valuable at the senior level.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support geotechnical investigations and subsurface explorations.
• Coordinate and interpret soil borings, laboratory testing, and field data.
• Perform geotechnical calculations and engineering analyses.
• Develop recommendations for foundations, earthwork, retaining structures, and site development.
• Prepare geotechnical reports, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Review plans and project documents for geotechnical considerations.
• Coordinate with drilling contractors, laboratories, surveyors, and other consultants.
• Support construction observation, testing, and field investigations.
• Work with civil, structural, environmental, and other engineering disciplines.
• For senior-level candidates, provide technical leadership and communicate directly with clients and project stakeholders.
