Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer with 3-5 years of GDOT project experience to assist in preparing plans, specs, and reports. You will perform basic calculations and support design and drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with site visits as needed.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, a Georgia PE license, and strong communication skills. Familiarity with MicroStation, HEC-RAS, and stormwater modeling is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.
• Exposure to MicroStation, HEC-RAS or stormwater tools preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field
• Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working on Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) projects
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.
