Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer with 3–5 years of geotechnical experience to assist in preparing plans, reports, and analyses. You will work under senior engineers, using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and conduct site visits and data collection in support of GDOT projects.

The role requires a GA PE license, strong communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Knowledge of MicroStation and stormwater tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Georgia PE license required.
• GDOT project experience preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office.
• Strong communication skills.
• Internship or co-op in civil engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and stormwater tools preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field
• Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working on Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) projects
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.
• Exposure to relevant software such as MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred
