Certerra is expanding in the Hawaii market and seeks geotechnical engineers at multiple levels to work on large, multi-year projects that shape infrastructure. The Honolulu-based role will evaluate subsurface conditions and support design decisions for foundations, earthworks, and related geotechnical systems across a variety of projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis.
• Geology background adds value for geotechnical projects.
• EIT or PE license preferred, or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.

Responsabilités

• Geotechnical Investigations: conduct field explorations, review subsurface conditions, analyze lab results.
• Engineering Analysis & Design: develop geotechnical recommendations for foundations, earthworks, slopes.
• Technical Reporting: prepare clear geotechnical reports with site conditions and analyses.
• Construction Support: provide guidance during construction, observing foundation systems and earthwork.
• Project Coordination: plan and coordinate work to meet schedules and budgets.

Formation

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical emphasis

Geology

EIT or PE license preferred
