Job summary

Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a Junior or Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Orlando, FL team. You will contribute to the forensic geotechnical practice, work on investigations of existing buildings, and assist with remedial design and risk analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering is required.
• Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering and related disciplines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel within the USA and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and investigations with documenting observations, photos, and sketches.
• Perform geotechnical investigations and laboratory testing programs.
• Organize field data to support analysis and problem-solving.
• Carry out bearing capacity, slope stability, and settlement analyses.
• Provide geotechnical support during construction and prepare technical reports.
• Develop data visuals and presentations to explain findings to clients.
