Job summary

Cochran is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our Missouri team. The role involves planning subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, and geotechnical design with a focus on foundations, slope stability, and retaining wall systems.

The successful candidate will have an EIT with 4+ years of experience (PE preferred), a BS in Civil or Geological Engineering, and be prepared to work across multiple Missouri offices, including Wentzville, Union, Kansas City, Ozark, or Fenton.

Qualifications

• EIT with 4+ years of experience; PE license preferred.
• BS in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop geotechnical subsurface exploration proposals and reports.
• Review laboratory test data and perform analyses.
• Design/assess retaining walls, slopes, and foundations.
• Provide construction recommendations and best practices.
• Perform periodic site visits during construction.
• Review daily observation reports from field personnel.
