Job summary

RSI in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, reviewing, and assessing project designs, including team organization, calculations, and preparation of plans and specifications. Interfaces with outsourced engineering firms and provides day-to-day support to Site Leads for assigned sites.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering, 5 years of relevant experience, a PE license, and willingness to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Professional Engineering License.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and local utility codes.

Responsibilities

• Performs remedial investigations and feasibility studies to determine and outline projects.
• Prepares drawings, construction specifications, statements of work, cost estimates and schedules.
• Prepares and inspects plans.
• Provides engineer field support during the construction phase.
• Assists in evaluating work scope, safety problems and design considerations.
• Assists in conducting trade-off studies and providing cost/schedule/performance direction.
• Trains and mentors junior staff.
• May lead aspects of a task or project.
• Follows procedures and processes.
• Manages several projects at one time.
