Job summary
Southern California Edison (SCE) seeks a Geotechnical Engineer 2 to lead subsurface investigations and provide geotechnical evaluations for transmission, substation, and civil projects in California. You will coordinate with project managers and disciplines, plan field explorations, analyze data, prepare technical reports, and support designs for foundations, retaining walls, and related infrastructure.
This hybrid role requires field travel across the SCE service territory and strong safety
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or scientific/technical/math field.
- Two or more years of engineering experience in operations, production, construction or maintenance.
- Valid Class C Driver's License.
Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical investigations and provide analyses for infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineering disciplines throughout development and execution.
- Plan field explorations, data analysis, and technical reporting.
- Prepare geotechnical reports and design criteria for foundations and structures.
- Monitor field activities and ensure safety and compliance.
