Job summary
A leading engineering firm is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to develop design concepts and ensure compliance with statutory standards. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Geology and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and geotechnical software is essential.
Qualifications
- Minimum a Diploma or Degree in Geology or equivalent.
- Preferably with a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experiences in construction industry.
- Able to communicate effectively with Client, Consultants, Management and Subcontractors.

- Liaise with client and develop design concepts and basis of design to set direction of design.
- Check engineering deliverables and assure technical integrity of design.
- Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant Statutory standards, Regulations and Codes of Practices.
- Carry out various types of geotechnical design and analysis – deep excavations, shafts, tunnels, slopes, foundations, etc.
- Carry out appropriate design of structural nature where required.
- Highlight technical issues and update Construction Department on changes and distribute to vendors, engineers and supervisors.
- Plan and execute geotechnical and instrumentation installation and monitoring works.
- Site evalution of soil, rock, fault distribution and geological studies on site to determine their engineering properties.
- Performs other duties or projects as assigned.
- Minimum a Diploma, Degree in Geology or its equivalent.
- Preferably with a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experiences in construction industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Geotechnical analysis software.
