Job summary

Andersen James Group is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer for an Austin, TX role on a 12-month contract. The position covers geotechnical investigations, analysis, design support, and construction activities across major infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil/Geotechnical Engineering degree with at least 3 years of geotechnical experience and is eligible to work in the United States. PE or EIT status is advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years' geotechnical engineering experience.
• Strong experience with geotechnical investigations and report writing.
• Knowledge of foundation engineering, earthworks, and geotechnical analysis.
• Full US work authorization.
• PE licence or EIT status advantageous but not essential.

Andersen James Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy in Austin, Texas on an initial 12-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.

This opportunity offers the chance to work on a variety of major infrastructure and land development projects, supporting geotechnical investigations, analysis, design, and construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out geotechnical engineering assessments and technical reporting.
• Interpret ground investigation data and provide engineering recommendations.
• Support foundation design, earthworks, and slope stability assessments.
