SOCOTEC US is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer based in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, interacting with clients and managing budgets. Responsibilities include coordinating field activities like testing and logging, performing analyses, and preparing proposals.

Project Geotechnical Engineer (Houston, Texas). The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, including meeting and interacting with clients, and managing budgets. The Project Engineer will coordinate and participate in field activities, including logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores; evaluation of geologic and seismic hazards; forensic evaluation of distressed structures and failed slopes; perform foundation, slope stability, and settlement analyses; and prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports. Duties will also include providing technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists and field technicians.
Licensed professional engineer (PE) with 4+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting. The ideal candidate will bring local experience and familiarity with the local engineering practice. Candidate should be a team player, be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
