Job summary

Braun Intertec Corporation seeks a geotechnical drilling assistant in Fargo, ND. The role supports subsurface investigations, collects soil/rock samples, and logs field data under the Crew Chief, with potential to eventually perform Crew Chief duties.

Responsibilities include assisting in drilling operations, data collection, equipment maintenance, safe work practices, and timely training documentation. Employees may travel and work weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in geotechnical drilling or similar field is preferred.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude is required.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs when needed.
• Effective communication with colleagues, customers, and supervisors.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Crew Chief in all drilling operations and gain experience for future leadership.
• Assist in collecting field samples and data.
• Return field samples and data to the Project Manager, organized.
• Maintain tooling, equipment, and vehicles in working order.
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical problems and repairs.
• Use PPE and follow safe work practices at all times.
• Complete required paperwork and training in a timely manner.
• Operate and drive vehicles safely and lawfully.
