Braun Intertec in Fargo, ND is seeking a Geotechnical Drilling Assistant to support our drilling team on subsurface investigations for geotechnical and environmental projects. You will assist the Crew Chief, collect field samples, log data, and help ensure safe, efficient operations in a variety of terrains and weather conditions.

The role requires strong technical and mechanical aptitude, good communication, and flexibility for travel up to 100% (Mondays to Fridays with occasional weekend

Qualificações

• Prior geotechnical drilling experience is preferred, but not required.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.

## Geotechnical Drilling AssistantApply: Fargo, ND: Full time: Posted Yesterday: R5060Braun Intertec is seeking a geotechnical drilling assistant to join our Fargo, ND drilling team. The Drilling Assistant has primary responsibility for performing subsurface investigations for geotechnical and environmental purposes. A subsurface investigation can involve collecting soil, rock, groundwater samples, and logging the field data. These investigations take place over a wide variety of terrain, conditions, and weather. The Drilling Assistant will assist the Crew Chief in all aspects of the drilling operation and is expected to eventually gain the experience necessary to perform all the duties of a Crew Chief. **Responsibilities*** Assists the Crew Chief in all aspects of drilling operation, while gaining the experience necessary to work with minimal direction* Assists in the collection of field samples and data.* Returns field samples and data, organized and completed to the Project Manager.* Responsible for maintaining tooling, equipment, and vehicles.* Assists the Crew Chief with trouble shooting mechanical problems and perform the required repairs.* Use required and approved personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing all functions.* Responsible for promoting, communicating, and adhering to safe work practices* Responsible for completing all required paperwork and training in a timely manner* Operate Vehicles in a safe and lawful manner.* Maintain necessary compliance documentation relating to the operation of commercial motor vehicles**Required Experience and Qualifications:*** Prior geotechnical drilling experience is preferred, but not required* Strong technical and mechanical aptitude* Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform necessary repairs.* Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers, customers, and supervisors, while fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment* strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task* Ability to problem solve and work in a dynamic work environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.* Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.* Must be available for travel up to 100%, occasionally on short notice (average annual travel is typically 85-90%)* Dependable, the ability to maintain reliable attendance and work a full-time schedule, typical schedule is traveling Monday - Friday, though there is occasional required weekend/night work.* Ability to work outdoors, in a field / construction work setting, in all types of weather conditions and terrain* High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred* Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis, 75lbs occasionally* A valid drivers license and acceptable driving record* The ability to obtain a CDL license, within 90 days is preferred* Ability to pass a recurring DOT physical and maintain a DOT Medical Card* Ability to pass a driving / road test* Ability to pass a pre employment drug screen, criminal background check and motor vehicle record check #LI-PD1 The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided training and mentoring.
