Job summary

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc. in Woodbine, MD is seeking Geotechnical Drillers to join our Specialty Construction Group. You will operate drill rigs, perform sampling, and document daily logs for projects in the region.

The role requires a high school diploma, reliability, and the ability to meet pre-employment requirements. CDL A/B is preferred but not required; training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Your Role

• Hillis-Carnes Specialty Construction Group is actively seeking Geotechnical Drillers for our Woodbine, MD office. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the geotechnical drill rig operations and drilling techniques. Need to be reliable, motivated, possess a positive attitude, and have a good work ethic. Experience with Hollow Stem Auger and Casing Advance Drilling, Mud Rotary Drilling, Split Spoon and Shelby Tube Sampling, and Rock Coring.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Ability to meet additional pre-employment requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Self-motivated, responsible, and reliable
• Clean and maintain company assigned vehicle, drill rig, and equipment
• Work closely with site leadership to ensure that scope of work is being met within a timely schedule and in accordance with the safety standards
• CDL class A or B is preferred but not required
• Produce daily reports and boring logs
• Successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certificates through company-provided training and mentoring

Benefits

• Salary range is between $24 and $34/Hour and will be negotiated based on experience.
