In the role of Geotechnical Designer/EIT, we'll count on you to:
- Assist in planning and conducting geotechnical investigations and site assessments
- Perform field tasks including drilling oversight and construction observations, with most work focused in the NY/NJ area. Occasional travel outside NY/NJ may be expected to help assist project demands in other areas
- Assist in performing geotechnical calculations and analysis for small- and large-scale projects
- Assist in preparation of geotechnical reports, calculation packages, drawings and specifications
- Have some familiarly with geotechnical software including LPILE, ALPILE, GROUP, SHAFT, GeoStudio, Settle3, and DeepEx
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and be willing to learn and take on new tasks as needed
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in civil or Geotechnical Engineering; master’s degree with Geotechnical emphasis preferred.
- 3 years of work experience.
- EIT certification, or current registration for FE exam. Candidates hired without their EIT will be title "Geotechnical Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to go to the field as needed; and
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Familiarity with GeoStudio, ESoft APILE, LPILE, GROUP, and Settle3 preferred.
- Local candidates preferred
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Experience with MS Office and software applications
