Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to join its Maryland-based design team, working on geotechnical and foundation projects across transportation, commercial, industrial, energy, and infrastructure markets.

The candidate will own designs from concept through construction, lead deep foundation and ground improvement work, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with project teams and construction operations.

Qualifications

PE license required.
5+ years in geotechnical, foundation, structural, or construction engineering.
Experience designing deep foundations, retaining structures, shoring, or ground improvement systems.

Responsibilities

Lead design of deep foundation, earth retention, and ground improvement systems.
Prepare and review calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
Develop solutions with drilled shafts, micropiles, anchors, soil nails, and shoring techniques.
Review geotechnical data and subsurface conditions for design recommendations.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Collaborate with construction and project teams to ensure practical, cost-effective designs.
Support client meetings, proposals, and value engineering.
