Job summary

States HR CO LLC seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex geotechnical construction projects in a hands-on, field-focused environment. You will oversee estimating, preconstruction, execution, and closeout, coordinating with field crews, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years of PM experience in heavy civil or geotechnical construction, strong budgeting/scheduling skills, and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of construction experience in PM roles.
• Heavy civil, geotechnical, foundation, or specialty construction background.
• Experience managing deep foundations, shoring, drilling, or ground improvement.
• Strong estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control skills.
• Experience managing schedules, change orders, subcontractor costs, and materials.
• Ability to manage multiple projects to meet schedule, quality, budget, and safety.
• Excellent communication with superintendents, field crews, clients, subcontractors, engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.
• Prepare and review estimates, proposals, bids, and scopes of work.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, forecasts, cost reports.
• Coordinate daily activities with superintendents and field teams.
• Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Monitor performance against budget, schedule, quality, safety.
• Manage change orders and project expenditures.
• Identify risks and resolve site/design/scheduling issues.
• Maintain client relationships through clear communication and reliable delivery.
• Coordinate with engineers on design-build projects.
• Review contracts, drawings, specs, and requirements.
• Lead internal meetings and client discussions.
• Support jobsite safety with field and safety teams.
• Share lessons learned across project teams.
