Job summary

Geotemps, Inc. in Reno, NV seeks a Warehouse/Geotech – Core Processing role. You will process drill core samples, label, and prepare boxes, collaborating with on-site geologists to prioritize tasks and maintain accurate inventory.

This on-site position requires safety awareness, ability to lift up to 65 lbs, and proficiency with Excel databases for basic record-keeping. Prior mining or exploration experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be safety-focused with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must wear PPE including hearing, face, eye and foot protection.
• Excel database knowledge is an asset for basic record-keeping.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 65 lbs.
• Ability to bend, lift, and place materials in a warehouse setting.
• Able to operate pallet jack and/or forklift safely.
• Team-oriented with willingness to collaborate on tasks.
• NV driver’s license is a plus.
• Experience in exploration/mining is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Core management: check run markers, label and order boxes and sample groups.
• Drill core sawing and hydraulic splitting as instructed by geologist.
• Mark identifications on sample bags per Geologist’s instructions.
• Return sampled intervals to core boxes and sample bags as directed.
• Arrange and move sample boxes to pallet storage; group bags for truck transfer.
• General housekeeping of the core warehouse and workspace.
• Perform other duties around the warehouse as required.
