Job summary

Morgan Corp. is seeking a Geostructural Driller to join our industrial division and travel with our Geostructural team throughout the Southeast.

You will operate specialized drilling equipment on micropile, soil nail wall, tieback, rock anchor, and grouting projects. The ideal candidate has hands-on drill experience in geostructural or heavy civil work, strong safety judgment, and the ability to lead crews on changing job sites in NC, SC, GA and VA.

Qualifications

• Experience operating tieback, micropile, or similar specialty drilling equipment.
• Experience in geostructural, geotechnical, heavy civil, or specialty foundation construction.
• Ability to understand, follow, and communicate written and verbal instructions.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and comply with policies and procedures.
• Select drill rig and tooling based on project needs.
• Perform pre-operational checks on drilling equipment.
• Set up, stabilize, and align drill rigs at boring locations.
• Regulate drilling parameters based on ground conditions and specs.
• Verify boring locations, depths, and alignments.
• Monitor drilling operations and adjust methods as conditions change.
• Handle casing installation according to specs.
• Change drill bits and tooling as needed.
• Drill in various soil and rock conditions for shoring and foundation work.
• Perform routine maintenance and documentation.
