Job summary

KBR is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to develop and maintain web-based mapping tools for geospatial data in a hybrid remote/onsite role near Sioux Falls, SD. You will contribute to web platforms used in wildland fire management, drought monitoring, and land cover mapping.

The position requires a bachelor’s in software engineering or CS and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with Python, PHP, JavaScript, and GIS tools. Collaboration with a skilled team is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science.
• 3-5 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain websites and mapping applications for geospatial data.
• Develop Python scripts that produce geospatial data products.
• Support technologies including PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML.
• Interact with a web development team supporting the USGS EROS Integrated Science Applications Branch.
