Job summary

Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) seeks a Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and test enterprise GIS apps for Defense and Federal clients. You will code in Python, C#, C++, HTML, and JavaScript, maintain docs, and support secure RMF-compliant environments.

You will work with ArcGIS, ENVI, and other COTS tools in a DevSecOps team, integrating Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift while ensuring data interoperability and safety across systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps workflows.
• Proven ability to integrate security into the GIS development lifecycle.
• Hands-on AGILE software development experience.
• Experience with Git-based version control tools (GitHub, GitLab).
• Ability to solve complex problems creatively and independently.
• Strong collaboration skills in team environments.
• Working knowledge of OGC standards (WMS, WFS, WMTS) and API–Features.

Responsibilities

• Design, customize, deploy, and test enterprise GIS applications.
• Perform software development using Python, C#, C++, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Author and maintain technical documentation and versioning notes.
• Implement geospatial data acquisition, preparation, and conversion processes.
• Support RMF compliance and access controls for security.
• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot OGC web services for interoperability.
• Integrate containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Contribute to AI/ML/DL system support including data management and model validation.
• Conduct QA/QC, code reviews, and lifecycle compliance.
• Remediate vulnerabilities aligned with STIG standards.
