Job summary

EDM International, Inc. is seeking a Geospatial Business Analyst I in Fort Collins, CO to bridge customer needs and EDM’s GIS teams.

You will gather requirements, map workflows, and translate them into implementable geospatial solutions, supporting Vegetation Management, Line Patrol, and related offerings. You will collaborate with GIS analysts, developers, and project teams through the full solution lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and user training, ensuring practical,

Qualifications

S./M.S. in Geography, GIS, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Forestry, Natural Resources, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of professional experience in GIS, business analysis, utility operations, Vegetation Management, or related field.
Demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
Experience developing design artifacts like process diagrams, workflows, user stories, and test cases.
Experience supporting software or GIS solution implementations through requirements, design, testing, deployment, and training.

Responsibilities

Lead or support customer discovery sessions to identify and document requirements.
Analyze and document customer processes and workflows, current and future states.
Translate requirements into clear functional design materials for GIS/technical teams.
Develop artifacts like BRDs, diagrams, user stories, and test cases.
Coordinate testing, UAT, and defect tracking through resolution.
Provide SME support for Vegetation Management and Line Patrol domains.
