Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology in Tampa, FL is seeking a Software Developer to support a military customer on-site. The role focuses on modernizing legacy CAD and GIS datasets and delivering geospatial capabilities using Python, JavaScript and Arcade within the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem.

You will join a collaborative team, maintain data standards, publish content to the web, train stakeholders, and contribute to architectural improvements while ensuring on-site commitments in Tampa, FL.

Qualifications

Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise.
Hands-on experience building interior and exterior GIS and CAD data.
Experience with geodatabase design and development.
Familiarity with web services for GIS data deployment.
3+ years of programming experience with Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Geoprocessing Tools.

Responsibilities

Modernize legacy CAD and GIS datasets to create an updated geospatial data catalogue, preserving attribution.
Deploy GIS data to authorized users via web services and standardized formats.
Create SOPs and data schemas to guide georeferencing and feature integration, publish geospatial content to the web.
Train stakeholders on GIS tools and processes; provide recommendations on future technology investments and architecture.
