Job summary

GeoSearch seeks a Quality Analyst to support the Geospatial Technology Services team in the United States. You will analyze and QA/QC topographic lidar, imagery, and 3D GIS data for federal, state, and private clients, contributing to a multidisciplinary engineering firm and applying the latest geospatial technology.

The role offers growth and collaboration with senior staff, plus opportunities to develop standards, procedures, and training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography or GIS required.
  • 5 years of GIS/Remote Sensing experience.
  • Strong ArcGIS Pro proficiency and data quality skills.
  • Experience with geospatial data QA/QC and standards.
  • Familiarity with lidar, elevation datasets, and geospatial products.

Responsibilities

  • QA/QC of elevation data, imagery, other GIS data products
  • Providing feedback on all stages of production
  • Creation and analysis of derivative data layers
  • Supporting and leading process improvements
  • Report and metadata creation and review
  • Maintaining internal documentation templates and SOPs
  • Training junior staff in QA/QC procedures and workflows
  • Leading quality review meetings and prioritizing tasks
  • Representing quality team in client meetings
  • Assisting PMs with scope, budget, and resource estimations
  • Translating client expectations to analysts for data modifications
  • Compose and prepare technical writing beyond templates
