Job summary
GeoSearch seeks a Quality Analyst to support the Geospatial Technology Services team in the United States. You will analyze and QA/QC topographic lidar, imagery, and 3D GIS data for federal, state, and private clients, contributing to a multidisciplinary engineering firm and applying the latest geospatial technology.
The role offers growth and collaboration with senior staff, plus opportunities to develop standards, procedures, and training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography or GIS required.
- 5 years of GIS/Remote Sensing experience.
- Strong ArcGIS Pro proficiency and data quality skills.
- Experience with geospatial data QA/QC and standards.
- Familiarity with lidar, elevation datasets, and geospatial products.
Responsibilities
- QA/QC of elevation data, imagery, other GIS data products
- Providing feedback on all stages of production
- Creation and analysis of derivative data layers
- Supporting and leading process improvements
- Report and metadata creation and review
- Maintaining internal documentation templates and SOPs
- Training junior staff in QA/QC procedures and workflows
- Leading quality review meetings and prioritizing tasks
- Representing quality team in client meetings
- Assisting PMs with scope, budget, and resource estimations
- Translating client expectations to analysts for data modifications
- Compose and prepare technical writing beyond templates
