Job summary

Vosper Thornycroft Group is seeking an experienced applications developer with a strong focus on Android mobile development. The role requires expertise in geospatial information systems (GIS), React-based mobile apps, and cross-platform development for Android and iOS.

You will work with enterprise teams, vendors, and customers to define requirements, support secure operations, and deliver Windows and Linux releases using Electron.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly required on day one.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience managing iterative software releases and tracking sprints with JIRA.
• Experience with GitHub and GitLab for source control.
• Experience developing test plans and providing client support.
• Experience with Windows, UNIX, and Linux platforms.
• Knowledge of emerging technical trends and security mechanisms.
• Experience in software engineering and development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as geospatial technology and mobile SME; advise on program and mission requirements.
• Integrate geospatial data within an enterprise web app; handle system and data management.
• Develop mobile apps for Android and iOS; React-based development.
• Collaborate with vendors and Sponsor Enterprise teams on security and operations.
• Lead UI/UX discussions and define functional requirements with customers.
