Job summary

Ipolarity LLC in San Jose, CA is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to lead hardware-focused XR glasses development onsite. You will drive cross-functional teams, manage schedules, risks, and budgets to ensure on-time delivery of system solutions.

Responsibilities include phase-gate reviews, resource planning with engineering and operations, and proactive process improvements to streamline product development. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering.
• 5 years of hardware engineering program management, team lead and/or product design engineering experience.
• Consumer Electronics hardware experience.
• Experience in product development and phase gate approach.
• Experience in hardware NPI build management.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 20% as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of Android XR glasses hardware platforms and drive tactical execution and strategy of the team.
• Lead cross-functional teams to design, build, validate, and launch system solutions.
• Manage development risks and issues to meet system build milestones, cost, and manufacturability.
• Drive product development processes and phase gate reviews with the cross-functional teams.
• Develop and manage program schedules and resource needs with engineering and operations teams.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership.
• Interface with development partners and cross functional engineering and operations teams driving builds and managing build schedules, budgets, and performance.
• Proactively implement process improvements to streamline product development.
• Manage program budgets.
• Influence and drive strategic JDM partner development efforts and establish long term partnerships.
