Job summary

CobbFendley is seeking an experienced Geospatial Field Technician in their El Paso, Texas office to support field operations for civil infrastructure projects. The role requires hands-on survey tasks and data collection with the ability to travel locally and regionally.

You will operate Trimble survey equipment, use AutoCAD and DXF workflows, and work with project teams to ensure accuracy and safety in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma, GED, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience required.
• 7+ years of Field experience.
• Knowledge of field operations, safety requirements, and environmental considerations associated with civil infrastructure work in outdoor settings.
• Ability to travel locally, regionally, and interstate, with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Ultimately, the Field Technician is responsible for the success of field operations to support project completion.
• Perform routine assignments with or without supervision.
• Provide guidance to less experienced staff.
• Coordinate with project managers and internal teams.
• Responsible for safely operating equipment.
• Travel locally and out of state, including overnights.
• May operate a variety of vehicles, including large vehicles with or without attached trailers, as needed to support specific operational tasks, and perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and efficient use.
• May cross train to perform other field services (Telecommunications, Survey, SUE).
• Perform hazard analysis before performing field work and prepare safety documents under supervision.
