Job summary

Short-Elliott-Hendrickson (SEH) is seeking a Crew Chief to join our Geospatial Data Services team. We offer employee-ownership, a culture of respect, flexibility, and accountability, and projects that positively impact communities.

The position requires surveying experience, field effort, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Trimble tools, with travel to remote or rural areas. You will perform control, boundary and topographic surveys, support right-of-way plans, and operate Trimble data collectors

Qualifications

• Previous Survey experience, including field experience.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Previous experience with AutoCAD
• Ability to work 10-12 hour days in remote or rural areas
• Ability to work outside in various conditions
• Willing to work out of town/travel
• Understanding of CDOT procedures and standards including Right-of-Way plan production
• Proficient with Trimble data collectors, Trimble GPS, Trimble robotic total stations and Trimble Business Center
• Ability to apply principles and practices of land surveying
• Ability to understand and decipher horizontal/vertical datums and coordinate systems
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong math skills
