Job summary

Woolpert in Oregon is seeking a Transportation Roads Condition Assessment Technician Intern for the Summer Quarter (May–September). The onsite role offers hands-on experience alongside licensed professional engineers, condition assessment experts, and BLM staff in data collection and processing.

You will gain exposure to GIS work, PASER analysis, and transportation data tasks while supporting field operations in diverse conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university, with at least sophomore status.
• Must be studying engineering, forestry, or related field.
• Must be willing to travel for the duration of the internship, including field work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a team, and independently as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Roads Condition Assessment Field team under supervision of senior staff.
• Learn to plan field assessment processes with guidance from senior staff.
• Validate schedules and plan for approval with client oversight.
• Collect data in the field with engineers and condition assessment experts.
• Assist with data collection and processing for the Bureau of Land Management.
