DC Army National Guard seeks a Geospatial Engineer to support disaster relief missions by extracting and supplying geographic data for military operations and battlefield visualization. You will train through government programs and earn a regular paycheck while learning essential GIS skills.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 20 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), with on-the-job instruction in geographic information systems.

Competenze

• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between ages 17 and 35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements.

Mansioni

• Create geographic data and compile them into maps.
• Create and maintain multiple geospatial databases.
• Prepare military-style briefs covering all aspects of the terrain.
